Movin' On Up!

Whew! On to 2012 we go. January is already proving to be a big month for us - I'm going to start back to work this coming Tuesday and we're moving next weekend.

Thankfully I am able to take Will to work with me. I'll be teaching a 1 hour drama class 2 days a week. I'm going to try just wearing him in the Ergo carrier or plopping him in the pack'n'play with some toys to see how he does. If that doesn't work, there's a student with 5th hour study hall who has volunteered to help watch him. I also have some assistant directors who are willing to be baby wranglers. If all else fails, my sweet MIL lives down the street from the school and she can help too.

We're moving from our old old house (built in 1891) to our new old house (built in 1925). Just call me Thoroughly Modern Jenn. This house has been very well maintained, has double the space of our old old house, a 2 car garage, and one of my favorite features - A DISHWASHER (you don't truly appreciate these until you don't have one and your sink is very very small and your sink aerator keeps busting because of weird water pressure). I can't wait to post some pictures of the new place. Although it might take a while because I'll be taking breaks from moving by swinging on our new porch swing :) :) :)

Another something that is moving on up is William. He's got 4 teeth in now (2 top, 2 bottom) and after his haircut the other day, he's lost a lot of his baby look and looks more like a little boy than a baby. I am a little nostalgic these days about when he was all teeny tiny - now he's a big strapping lad of almost 9 months. Hard to believe he's spent almost as much time out as he spent in the oven! He babbles up a storm - saying "Dadada" (Ben loves that one!) and "Pah-pah-pah" (we think that's Parker) and "Neh-neh-neh" (that's me. We're working on that one). He loves playing with his soccer ball (kicking & throwing to Mom & Dad). Right now he's in a Mommy-holds-me-preference stage, but he gets so excited whenever Ben comes in the room. Here's a picture of my growing boy.
